What you should expect: Meeting amongst all stakeholders to deliberate and plan the future of public education in a “post-pandemic” world.

When to participate: December 2, 2020 4:00pm-6:00pm

Where to participate: Virtual platform (Zoom)

Why you should participate: Public education has been in peril for many years. The Covid-19 pandemic has exacerbated the many challenges faced by those in public education to include students/families, teachers, support staff, and administrators. Current challenges include loss of learning and development, widening of the “opportunity” gap, social isolation, unequal access to learning devices and networks, lack of support for distant learners, and the limitations of standardized testing.

How to participate: Keynote speaker to discuss the “vision” of public education today and beyond. Following the keynote will be discussion amongst participants based on selected topic(s). Participants will be asked to summarize and provide at least 2 action items that can be implemented within their school, community, district or state that will improve educational outcomes in a “post-pandemic” society.
